‘5 minutes with…’ is our interview series where we speak to employees at Moorgate and gain a deeper understanding of their roles and how they got to where they are today.
Today we have Dan Scott one of our Sales Support Administrators.
How did you get to your current role?
Before Moorgate, I previously worked in the film industry but I wanted to find something a bit closer to home. After my successful interview I was thrown into the world of finance support and I have grown and learnt a lot over the year I have been here.
What is a typical day like for you?
No day is the same as the last! We work with so many lenders on so many types of deals that there is always a new exciting challenge waiting when we arrive in the morning. From fleets of trucks to sports cars, we work on financing a variety of different assets every day.
What is your biggest achievement?
My biggest achievements come from seeing those big, complex deals get over the line- I find it extremely rewarding. I also find it very satisfying knowing we have a happy customer at the end of the day.
What is the most challenging aspect of your role?
We work with a lot of lenders, and having the knowledge to understand how each of them work can be very challenging. As a team, we work as hard as we can to make sure we are up to date with how they work, ensuring client deals are pushed through smoothly.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is seeing a deal through to the end and having the satisfaction that our processes are working, leaving us with happy customers.
If you could sum up Moorgate in three words, what would they be?
Dynamic, exciting, rewarding.
